Anita and I have been married for over six years. That time flew by extremely quickly. We went through highs and lows, had our share of great memories and a handful of arguments. Ok, let's be honest here, a lot of arguments.
Knowledge is the great equalizer. A little knowledge is a great way to keep the fear of a new situation at bay. Even though literally every single human being on the planet came about through the process of pregnancy and childbirth, the experience remains a great unknown to those that have never gone through it before.
Anita said these words with the enthusiasm of an Olympian finding out that they had just won the gold medal. Her sister, mother, and father embraced us in their arms with tears of joy welling up in their eyes as I uttered the words, "We finally did it."
It finally happened! After six years of marriage we have positive pregnancy tests. This is a huge moment for Anita, knowing that she has been looking forward to this day for years. As for me, the smile hasn't left my face since she showed me the first home pregnancy test.
